Suzanne was born and raised in Michigan, and like many Midwesterner’s, she grew up on wholesome and home-cooked meals which were often times prepared with ingredients fresh from her mom’s garden.
It was during college when Suzanne first met Randy, a member of a campus organization where they became friends. Suzanne moved to New York City and Randy remained in Michigan. Recently through the wonders of online networking, Suzanne and Randy reconnected after many years.
After relocating to New York City to pursue a career in marketing and human resources, Suzanne enjoyed all NYC has to offer. She traveled extensively, always taking the time to sample fresh, local foods during her adventures. During Suzanne’s “culinary journey”, she mostly taught herself by watching and learning from others. She enjoyed translating what she learned into healthy food that her family and friends enjoyed. This truly brought her understanding and appreciation full circle. Through Suzanne’s culinary experiences, one thing became clear: Simple food equals honest food.
It was during a business trip to Michigan when Randy introduced Suzanne to his homemade granola. Suzanne convinced Randy his granola was too good to keep to himself and it was then when the idea for Randy’s Granola was born.
